Oishi Ghosh
Product Management
My name is Oishi Ghosh, and I am a seventh grader at the Science Academy STEM Magnet. I participated
in VEX GO for one year and VEX IQ for two years, and this is my first year in V5. My main role is
product management, where I help prioritize tasks, manage our time, and keep track of our timeline.
Since there are only three people on our team, I also help with building and other team
responsibilities.
Outside of robotics, I am a competitive swimmer and play water polo. I like performative arts, so I
participate in classical Indian dance, theater, and singing, which ties back to product management.
I also love eating food.
Vansh Patel
Builder
I am Vansh Patel, and I'm in the eighth grade; this being my 3rd year in VEX V5 robotics. On our
team, I mainly take the role of builder and designer, and I am learning coding to help lighten the
workload for the team. I have brainstormed ideas for our auton and driver strategy, both for matches
and for skills.
I do competitive swimming on the Vision swim team, and my favorite strokes are breaststroke and
freestyle. I like playing video games, reading books, watching tv, and creating various things out of
cardboard in my free time. I like all kinds of stories, but I like fantasy and sci-fi stories the
most, making my own fictional worlds in my free time, incorporating realism and creativity. I also
like pickles.
Ansh Sharma
Programmer, Designer & Driver
I am Ansh Sharma, an eighth-grade student at The Science Academy STEM Magnet School. I have four
years of experience in VEX Robotics, including three years in VEX V5 and one year in VEX IQ. On my
team, I program, design, drive, and help build the robot.
Outside of robotics, I participate in Speech and Debate, where I compete in World Schools Debate and
Assigned Platform Speaking. I am also involved in Stellar Xplorers and Science Bowl. I enjoy playing
golf and, of course, eating donuts because donuts are amazing. I also play several different video
games like Minecraft and Hollow Knight, along with other video games where timing and strategy are
key. Other things I do in my free time include building websites like our team website and
ProofGPT, a website built to help my classmates in geometry last year do their proof book (a project
filled with geometrical proofs).
